I awoke to not being able to see out of my right eye! I flushed out my eye thinking that some night cream had gotten into my eye; but to no avail!I called my eye doctor and she had me come in that afternoon. After a battery of tests, she showed me that behind my eye were a series of broken blood vessels and called Family Eye Physicians to see if they could see me asap. They in turn called me to ask me if I could get there before 5pm that day! Omg! I was overjoyed and got an Uber to take me right over. The team there and the doctor were all so caring and efficient! A series of more tests were done, including a CT scan of my eye! I never knew that could be done. Everything was explained as to what the tests were for and were done gently and painlessly. After all the results were given to the doctor and she also examined my eye thoroughly, she gave me the diagnosis of having had an eye stroke!!! What?! Ive NEVER heard of such a thing! The doctor made sure I didnt confuse this with a brain stroke! The plan of action is to return and get an IV put in my arm to disperse a dye that will be tracked and pictures taken to make different observations of my eye and blood vessels, swelling, etc. After that, numbing drops will be placed in the eye and a painless shot is given into the eye with medicine to help the eye heal.Ill see what transpires from there. All I can tell you with certainty and huge appreciation, is that the employees here really took great care of me and gave me the care I needed and the explanation of what was happening to my vision! A plan of action will follow soon. I look forward to regaining my full eyesight back and the steps needed to keep it that way!!Thank you so much!!!Rose Walisiak
