Physicians. After completing his B.A.Sc in Biological and Physical Sciences at the

on to Miami to receive additional training in the management of ocular surface diseases with Dan and Hoffman Eye Associates and finished his final training in fitting specialty contact lenses in Ft. Lauderdale with Dr. Kenneth E Maller. Dr. Dzubur graduated with his doctorate in Optometry from the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio in 2014 before returning back to his hometown.

Dr. Dzubur’s extensive training shaped his belief in promoting the very best in optometry practices which led him to found and establish the, “Illinois Dry Eye Center of Excellence” at Family Eye Physicians. His approach in diagnosing and treating his patients through a purely medical Optometry stance makes him one of the most highly sought out Dry Eye Specialists in the Midwest.

His thirst for knowledge didn’t stop as a student but continued as he wanted to prepare the future generations of Optometrists and was appointed as an Adjunct Faculty Professor of Optometry at Midwestern University. He is actively involved in the clinical training and growth of his Optometry students.

In addition to training his students, Dr. Dzubur also serves as the President of the North Suburban Optometric Association. He enjoys lecturing and providing a platform for continuing education for his fellow colleagues in the industry. He also serves as a National Speaker for Eyevance Pharmaceuticals in which he uses his expertise and clinical experience to lecture on Dry Eye Disease, MGD/Blepharitis, and Allergic Conjunctivitis.

Dr. Dzubur’s special areas of interest include the management of dry eyes ,
keratoconus, and other cornea and contact lens-related issues, as well as scleral contact lenses. He is highly trained in fitting specialty contact lenses ranging from keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, Degenerative Myopia, Aphakia, Aniridia, post corneal transplants to multifocal, prosthetic contact lenses, and lenses for otherwise difficult to fit prescriptions.

When he’s not busy caring for his patients, lecturing, teaching or keeping up with the latest advancements, Dr, Dzubur is a Humanitarian at heart serving as a board member for a nonprofit organization. He is also fluent in both Bosnian and Spanish.

A proud father and husband, Dr. Dzubur enjoys spending time with his family– often frequenting parks and soccer fields with his son and his favorite companion Duke. Otherwise look for him on the golf course, playing soccer, or rooting for his favorite football team.
