Haris Dzubur is a native Chicagoan who is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the current Director of Optometry for Family Eye Physicians. He received his doctorate in Optometry from the Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Dzubur has completed a clinical internship at the Orlando Veterans Administration Hospital, Viera Outpatient Clinic, where he received training in evaluating and managing patients affected by eye diseases that cause vision loss. He has also received training in ocular disease at Dan and Hoffman Eye Associates in Miami, Florida. While in Miami, Dr. Dzubur enjoyed the mentorship and training of Dr. Kenneth E. Maller, in fitting specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Dzubur currently serves as the President of the North Suburban Optometric Association. Dr. Dzubur helped in founding and launching the “Illinois Dry Eye Center of Excellence” at Family Eye Physicians. Dr. Dzubur is one of the top dry eye Specialists in the Midwest. Having managed thousands of unique Dry Eye cases, he is the secrete behind our great success in diagnosis and care of dry eye patients across Chicagoland.
Dr. Dzubur specializes in fitting specialty contact lenses for a range of corneal disorders, like Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, Degenerative Myopia, aphakia, aniridia, and post corneal transplants. Our Myopia Control program is tailored for every child in order to achieve maximal Myopia Control and reduce myopic progression. Dr. Dzubur’s personal interests include spending time on the golf course, playing soccer and public speaking.
