In November of 2010, Dr. Sandeep Bhatia joined the staff of Family Eye Physicians. He attended the University of Illinois, Chicago, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Bhatia completed his medical education at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, where he graduated
in June 2006. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Bhatia then went on to fulfill his residency in training in Ophthalmology at The Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Bhatia has earned many prestigious honors and awards during his medical training, including the MCW Copeland Award for research in Anticoagulation with Glaucoma Surgery. He has also completed research in such topics as Diabetic Macular Edema, Pressure Variation with Treatments for Choroidal Melanoma and Risk Factors for Retinal Detachment. He is a member of the American Academy for Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
